Ogata’s Story Continues

This Sunday at church Pastor Minamida spoke to the church on behalf of the Ogatas, announcing their bitter-sweet decision.
Background:  Ogatas have wanted a child for years, and many people have joined them in praying for this. You were also praying recently for her cancer treatment. That has been going quite well, but now there’s a new twist. They just recently found out that shortly before the cancer surgery, she conceived.
Then she went through a very long cancer surgery under full anesthesia and all the post-op regimen, and after recovering from that, began taking anti-cancer medication.  After a while she began to feel rather ill, especially in the mornings and the doctors finally pinpointed the cause of her nausea and vomiting—morning sickness.
Mrs. Ogata were of course advised by the medical staff to undergo an abortion.
The Ogatas have decided to see the pregnancy  through, and in order to do what is best for their unborn child, she has stopped taking her anti-cancer medication.
The oncologist has made it clear he is taking no responsibility for her condition.
They had difficulty finding an OBGyn, and the one they have has made it clear he is going to treat her only as relates to her pregnancy and will not be addressing any of her cancer concerns.
But that was not all. Mrs. Kondo, (her mother) announced that she has thyroid cancer and will be having surgery to treat that.
I know the entire family would appreciate your prayers.
