Important Translation Meetings

Pray! There are crucial meetings in the big country west of Japan. People from all over that country are meeting to establish cooperative ties for translation work there.

Two from Japan went there today to lead the meetings. Pray for them. They will be working in a sign language different from their own. Of course, it would be better to have a Deaf person from that country lead the meetings, but there are many sign languages in that country, so communication would still be problematic. And finding one person there, who, if they were leading the meetings, everyone would still  be willing to attend is also difficult. But the Japanese people are Deaf, and have been doing translation for 17 years, and have learned much along the way. Pray that God will grant them favor with all involved, and that there will be a unity there that respects the wide diversity of sign languages and translation approaches.
